The Iron Ridge intensive outpatient program is $30,000 for the full eight-week clinical arc, billed at $15,000 per month. Recovery coaching is $4,500 per month. Iron Ridge is private pay and out-of-network by design. We provide PPO superbills you can submit to your own carrier, and we do not report to your insurance on your behalf.

What the IOP costs

$30,000 total — $15,000 per month across the eight-week arc.

That is the whole number. There is no separate intake fee, no assessment fee, and no partner programming fee on top of it.

The arc runs eight weeks at 9 to 12 clinical hours per week — 72 to 96 total clinical hours, structured in three phases.

The $30,000 includes:

• All group programming across the eight-week arc
• Weekly individual sessions with your clinician
• Assessment at baseline, week 4, week 8, and six-month follow-up
• The Partner & Family Program, at no additional cost. If you have a partner, her programming is included — weekly individual therapy with a separate clinician, plus a weekly clinical group with other partners. She is not billed separately and she is not an add-on.
• Coordination with your outside providers when you have them

The same price applies whether you attend in person in Austin or by secure telehealth from anywhere in Texas.

What recovery coaching costs

$4,500 per month.

Coaching is a separate track. It is not therapy, it is not a substitute for clinical treatment, and it is not covered by superbills — coaching is not a billable clinical service. Some men use it after completing the IOP; some use it alongside outside therapy; some start there. What CSAT-informed coaching is and is not covers the distinction in detail.

Why we are private pay

This is the part most people want explained, so here it is plainly.

Using insurance requires a diagnosis on your record, submitted to your carrier, and a course of treatment your carrier can review and authorize. For most conditions that trade is worth making. For a man whose primary concern is that this stay off a record his employer, his spouse, or his licensing board could access, it is not.

Private pay removes the carrier from the transaction. We do not submit claims. We do not seek authorization. We do not report your diagnosis, your attendance, or your progress to anyone.

This is a structural protection, not a policy promise. We are describing how our billing works, not making guarantees about what any third party may or may not be able to obtain through other means.

Superbills and out-of-network reimbursement

We provide a superbill — an itemized receipt with the clinical codes your carrier needs — that you may submit yourself for possible reimbursement under out-of-network benefits.

Whether you are reimbursed, and how much, is between you and your carrier. It depends on your specific plan, your out-of-network deductible, and your carrier's determination. We cannot predict it and we do not promise it. Insurance and superbills explains the mechanics.

If you want to estimate before you commit, the questions to ask your carrier are: Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health benefits? What is my out-of-network deductible, and how much of it have I met? What percentage do you reimburse after the deductible?

What happens before you pay anything

Nothing is charged at inquiry. The sequence is a confidential consult first, then a clinical assessment to determine whether Iron Ridge is the right level of care for you. If it is not, we say so and help you find what is — we do not admit clients we cannot serve well.

Cost is a reasonable thing to raise on that first call, and you will not be the first person to lead with it.

Common questions about cost

What does the program cost in total?

$30,000 for the full eight-week clinical arc, billed at $15,000 per month. That is the complete figure for the IOP — there is no separate intake, assessment, or partner programming fee.

Is the Partner & Family Program billed separately?

No. It is included in the $30,000 IOP fee. Your partner's individual therapy and her clinical group are both covered, and she works with a different clinician than you do — her care is on her timeline, not yours.

Can I use my insurance?

Not directly. Iron Ridge does not contract with insurance carriers and does not submit claims. You may submit a superbill to your carrier yourself and seek out-of-network reimbursement, which some plans provide and some do not.

Will insurance reimburse me?

We cannot tell you that, and we would be wary of any program that promised it. Out-of-network reimbursement depends on your specific plan, your deductible, and your carrier's determination. What we can tell you is that you will receive a properly coded superbill to submit.

Is coaching covered by a superbill?

No. Coaching is not a billable clinical service. It is a separate track at $4,500 per month, paid privately.

What if I cannot afford this?

Then this is worth saying on the consult call rather than deciding alone. We would rather have an honest conversation about fit and alternatives than have you rule yourself out silently. There are lower-cost paths to care, and if one of them suits you better we will point you toward it.

Does the price change for telehealth?

No. The virtual program runs the same eight-week clinical arc with the same clinical hours, and is priced the same as attending in person in Austin.
