Informational only. This twelve-item screener is informed by the SAST-R (Carnes, 2010) and the ICD-11 criteria for Compulsive Sexual Behavior Disorder (6C72). It is not a diagnostic instrument. Only a licensed clinician can render a clinical diagnosis. Your result is a starting point for a conversation, not a verdict.

How your information is used. Your name, email, phone, responses, and score are submitted to Iron Ridge Recovery LLC (Austin, Texas) for the sole purpose of following up with a confidential clinical intake conversation. Your information is received directly by Ian Birdwell, LPC, CSAT and our intake coordinator. We do not sell it, share it with advertising networks, forward it to lead brokers, or disclose that you contacted us to your insurance carrier or employer without your written authorization, except where required by law.

Retention and deletion. We retain your submission until you request deletion. Email intake@ironridgerecovery.com with the subject “Delete my information” at any time. We will confirm deletion within ten business days.

Withdrawing contact. You may decline further contact at any time by replying STOP to any message, by emailing intake@ironridgerecovery.com, or by telling our clinical team.

No therapist-client relationship. Completing this assessment or submitting your details does not create a therapist-client relationship, does not constitute the practice of psychotherapy, and does not obligate you to enter treatment. Clinical records created if you later become a client are covered separately under HIPAA and our Notice of Privacy Practices, which is provided at intake.
