What happens after I inquire
A licensed clinician reads your inquiry and replies within one business day. What the first call is like, and what we do not do with your information.
A licensed member of our clinical team reads your inquiry and replies within one business day to schedule a confidential consult. No one else sees it. Nothing is charged. You are not committing to anything by sending it.
If you are hovering over the button trying to work out what you are setting in motion, this page is the answer.
The short version
- You send the inquiry.
- A clinician on our team reads it and replies within one business day.
- You have a consult call — a clinical conversation, not a sales call.
- If it looks like a fit, we schedule a clinical assessment.
- If it does not, we tell you and help you find what does.
Nothing is charged at any point in that sequence.
Who reads your inquiry
A licensed member of our clinical team. Not a call centre, not an outsourced admissions contractor, not a salesperson working from a script and a commission.
The behavioral health industry runs a lot of call centres. We do not. The person who reads what you wrote is someone who understands what you are describing and could have that conversation with you directly.
What the first call is actually like
It is a clinical conversation. Expect roughly the shape of it to be: what is going on, how long it has been going on, what you have already tried, and what has changed recently that made you reach out now.
You will not be asked to justify yourself. You will not be asked to prove it is bad enough. Nobody is going to be shocked — this is the only thing we treat, and whatever you say, it is not the first time we have heard it.
You can also use the call for your own questions. Cost is a reasonable thing to lead with and you will not be the first. So is "is this even the right kind of place," and so is "I do not know if I am ready."
We may tell you this is not the right place
This is worth saying plainly because most programs do not.
Iron Ridge is a men's intensive outpatient program for compulsive sexual behavior. It is not the right level of care for active psychosis, unstable mood-disorder presentations, substance use requiring primary SUD treatment, or acute suicidality — those need stabilizing elsewhere first. And if compulsive sexual behavior is not actually the presenting picture, a general mental health program, an OCD specialist, or another service may serve you better.
When Iron Ridge is not the right fit, we say so and point you somewhere that is. We do not admit clients we cannot serve well.
If you have a partner
She is treated as a separate client with her own intake, her own clinician, and her own clinical record. Her care is not an appendix to yours and it does not run on your timeline.
She does not have to be involved for you to start, and she does not have to decide anything at the same time you do. The Partner & Family Program explains how that side works. It is included in the program cost — see pricing.
What we do not do
- We do not contact your insurance. Ever. Insurance and superbills explains the billing.
- We do not contact your employer, your family, or anyone else.
- We do not add you to a marketing list or start a follow-up sequence.
- We do not call repeatedly if you go quiet. One reply, and then it is your move.
If you are not ready
That is a normal place to be, and it is not a reason to wait for certainty that may not arrive.
Most men who reach us are not sure. Some are there because someone else thinks they should be. Reaching out is not a commitment to a program — it is one conversation with someone who does this work, and you can end it there.
If a conversation still feels like too much, the confidential CSBD self-assessment takes a few minutes and goes to no one.

Common questions
How quickly will someone get back to me?
Within one business day. If you inquire over a weekend, that means the next business day.
Who actually reads what I write?
A licensed member of our clinical team. Not a call centre and not a salesperson.
Will you call me if I asked you not to?
No. We use the contact method you asked us to use. If you asked for email only, you get email.
Is anything charged when I inquire?
No. Nothing is charged at inquiry, and nothing is charged for the consult call.
What if I am not sure I am ready?
Then say that on the call. Ambivalence is the normal starting point, not a disqualification. Reaching out is not a commitment to enroll.
What if Iron Ridge is not right for me?
We will tell you, and we will point you toward something that fits better. We do not admit clients we cannot serve well.
Does my partner have to be involved?
No. She is a separate client with her own intake if and when she wants one. You can start without her having decided anything.
Will this show up on my insurance?
Not from us. Iron Ridge is private pay and does not submit claims or contact carriers.
