Admissions FAQ

Straight answers on cost, privacy, insurance, timing, partners and fit — the questions people ask before they call Iron Ridge Recovery in Austin.

Straight answers to the questions people actually ask before calling. Nothing here requires you to give us your name.

Cost and payment

How much does the program cost?

$30,000 for the full eight-week clinical arc, billed at $15,000 per month. The Partner & Family Program is included at no additional cost. Full detail on pricing.

How much is coaching?

$4,500 per month, month to month. Iron Ridge Coaching is a separate, non-clinical service — not a cheaper version of the IOP, and we will tell you if the IOP is what you actually need.

Do you take insurance?

No. Iron Ridge is private pay and out of network. We do not submit claims and we do not contact your carrier.

What is a superbill and should I use one?

An itemized receipt you can submit yourself for possible out-of-network PPO reimbursement. Using one is your decision, and it does put a diagnosis code in front of your insurer — that trade-off is explained before you make it. See insurance and superbills.

What payment methods do you take?

All major credit cards.

Privacy

Will my employer find out?

Not from us. We do not contact employers.

Will this show up on my insurance?

Not from us. We do not submit claims. It would only appear if you chose to submit a superbill yourself.

Who reads my inquiry?

A licensed member of the clinical team. Not a call centre and not a commissioned admissions rep.

What are the limits on confidentiality?

The standard clinical exceptions, stated up front rather than in fine print: risk of serious harm to yourself or another person, abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult, and court order.

Do I have to say what is going on in the first email?

No. Send what you are comfortable putting in writing and keep the detail for the call.

Getting started

What actually happens after I inquire?

A licensed member of the clinical team replies within one business day, then a free 30–45 minute consult call, then a roughly 90-minute intake assessment. The full sequence.

Is the consult call a sales call?

No. It is a clinical conversation, and its purpose is to determine whether this is the right level of care. If it is not, you will be told on the call rather than after you have paid. See the first call.

Can I just phone instead of filling in a form?

Yes. (512) 877-8616 reaches the intake team directly.

How soon can I start?

Cohort availability changes. Ask on the consult call and you will get a straight answer about current timing.

The program

Will I have to stop working?

You should not need to. Nine to twelve clinical hours a week is designed to be attended alongside a full-time job — that is what an intensive outpatient program is for. See week by week.

Do I have to come to Austin?

No. The same eight-week arc runs by secure telehealth anywhere in Texas, at the same price.

Where is the clinic?

4030 W. Braker Ln, Suite 410, Austin, TX 78759 — North Austin near Braker Lane and MoPac, ground floor, on-site parking, and no waiting room shared with other practices.

Is this a men's program?

Yes. The IOP is built for adult men. Partners of any gender are served through the Partner & Family Program.

Is it residential?

No. Iron Ridge is outpatient. You live at home and attend 9 to 12 hours per week.

Am I finished after eight weeks?

No. Eight weeks interrupts a pattern, formulates what is underneath it, does real work on that, and hands you into continuing care. Anyone promising a cure in eight weeks is selling something. See aftercare.

Partners

Does my partner have to be involved?

No. She is a separate client with her own intake if and when she wants one. You can start without her having decided anything.

Can she get help if I do nothing?

Yes. Partners are clients in their own right and do not need his participation, agreement, or permission. She can contact the Partner & Family Program directly.

Is her therapy part of my record?

No. Separate clinician, separate record, confidential to her.

Fit

What if Iron Ridge is not right for me?

We will say so and point you toward what is. Active psychosis, unstable mood-disorder presentations, substance use requiring primary SUD treatment, and active suicidality all need a different setting first. Conditions treated.

Should I do the IOP or coaching?

If the behavior is causing real harm and nobody has formulated what is driving it, the IOP — even though it costs more. Coaching vs. IOP covers it properly.

What if I am in crisis right now?

Iron Ridge is an outpatient program and is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 — the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, available 24 hours a day — or call 911.
