Clinical licensure
Ian Birdwell holds an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license in Texas and is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) through IITAP, the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals. Roxcy Brown holds an LMFT-Associate (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate) license in Texas, practicing under required clinical supervision (supervised by Billy Myers, LMFT-S, Texas license 201183), and holds the CCPS-C (Certified Clinical Partner Specialist Candidate) credential.
Joshua Heater is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Texas, supervised by Eboni L. Ceasar, Ph.D., LCSW-S, Texas license 53065. Nick Borges is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) in Texas and a CSAT candidate (CSAT-C). John Rocco Rodney, MD, Iron Ridge’s consulting Medical Director, holds an active Texas medical license; his role is consulting, and he does not see or prescribe for clients.
Program status
Iron Ridge operates as an intensive outpatient program under the individual clinical licenses of its treating clinicians. As the program matures, we intend to pursue formal program-level accreditation, such as CARF or Joint Commission accreditation, appropriate to an outpatient behavioral health program of our size. We will update this page as those steps are completed — we do not represent accreditation status we have not yet earned.
Business accreditation
Iron Ridge Recovery has been a BBB Accredited Business since October 2026. BBB accreditation is a standard for business practices (honest advertising, clear agreements, protecting private information and responding when concerns arise), not a clinical accreditation, so it sits alongside the licensure above rather than replacing it. Insurance handling
Out-of-network. Private pay, out-of-network billing to your PPO, or a superbill you submit yourself. Nothing goes to your insurer unless you choose. Iron Ridge is out-of-network. Clients can have us bill their PPO out of network, submit a superbill themselves, or pay privately, in which case Iron Ridge does not communicate with any insurance company about their care. For a man whose primary concern is that this stay off an insurance record his employer, spouse, or licensing board could access, private pay is a structural protection, not a policy promise.

Iron Ridge is out-of-network. We can bill your PPO out of network, or give you a superbill to submit yourself. If you pay privately, no claim is filed and we never contact your insurer.
Will Iron Ridge report my treatment to my insurance company?
Only if you ask us to bill your out-of-network benefits. If you pay privately, we submit no claims, request no authorisation, and do not communicate with carriers about your care. For someone whose concern is that this stay off an insurance record, that is a structural protection rather than a policy promise.
How can I verify a clinician's licence?
