FOUNDER & CEO
Ian Brown
Role
Ian Brown is Founder and CEO of Iron Ridge Recovery, and one of the company's three co-founders alongside Ian Birdwell, LPC, CSAT and Roxcy Brown, LMFT-A, CCPS-C. Ian built the organization and runs it — strategy, operations, licensure, growth, and the partnerships that make the clinical work possible. Iron Ridge exists because he decided a program of this specificity needed to exist in Texas, and then built the company to hold it.
Background
Ian is an Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran who served in the U.S. Navy from 2006 to 2012.
After leaving the Navy, Ian built a fourteen-year career in consultative sales, business development, and executive leadership — culminating in behavioral health, where he has held VP of Business Development and CEO roles at treatment organizations in Texas. He has operated across residential and outpatient settings, on both the growth side and the executive side, and has co-founded a healthcare technology company focused on revenue cycle management for behavioral health.
Why I built Iron Ridge
I spent years on the business side of behavioral health watching good clinical models get diluted by programs trying to serve every population at once. Compulsive sexual behavior is treated well by very few programs in Texas, and even fewer are built specifically for high-functioning men who will not sit in a general addiction group. Partnering with two clinicians who specialize in exactly this — CSBD on one side, betrayal trauma on the other — was the only way to build it correctly instead of generally.
My role is to make sure the organization runs well enough that Ian and Roxcy can practice at the level this population needs: licensure, compliance, referral relationships, and the operating discipline to keep the program financially sound without compromising on how care is delivered.
Every inquiry is read by a member of our clinical team, not a call center.
